I had been knee-deep into my job, hardly taking any time for myself. My friend, Stefanie, asked me to come out with her and a guy she had just met. There were going to be a bunch of his old fraternity buddies and their girlfriends. I knew it would be a "couples" thing, but I went anyway.

We went to Hooters (don't laugh). When we arrived, there were already 2 couples there. Stefanie, her date, and I all sat down around the table. There was one seat that was vacant next to me. I didn't think twice about it, just assuming that it was an extra seat. About 1/2 hour later, my friend elbowed me in the ribs and said, "look at that guy. He's hot!" He came and sat down right next to me. He WAS hot! We started chatting and I found out that he was single.

We really hit it off and have been dating ever since.

Later, Marcello said that he almost wasn't going to go out that night either, because he was tired from working... but he did. It was fate!
